Art from the Highlands, collected worldwide
Galerie Vysočina was founded in Jihlava in 2009 by collectors who noticed a strange gap: the Czech-Moravian Highlands were full of accomplished artists whose work travelled abroad through intermediaries, marked up twice and documented never. The gallery was built to shorten that chain — a direct route from the artist's studio to the collector's wall, with the documentation, condition records, and care that serious collecting requires. Operating outside Prague's gallery districts also keeps prices fairer on both ends of every sale.
What we show
The catalogue concentrates on contemporary painting, sculpture, and limited-edition prints by established and mid-career Czech and Moravian artists. Every piece is hand-vetted before it enters the collection, documented with a condition report and full provenance notes, and archived photographically. Works ship from our climate-controlled atelier with professional crating, and first-time buyers get a period to live with the piece at home before the sale is final — because art looks different in your light than in ours.
How collecting works here
Browse by artist, medium, or scale; ask the advisory team for context on any work without obligation; and buy with clear pricing that includes documentation. International orders are crated to museum standard and tracked door to door, and buyers receive the certificate and archive file that accompany every work we sell.
- Every work documented with condition report and provenance notes
- Museum-standard crating and tracked door-to-door international shipping
- An in-home approval period for first-time buyers
Galerie Vysočina exists for collectors who want contemporary Czech art with honest provenance and careful delivery. If the Highlands have been missing from your walls, start browsing — or write to us and tell us what you collect.
